THE ART OF RESPECTING NATURE AND PEOPLE

Experiencing the pleasures of wine is first and foremost about respecting the vineyards and looking after the people who tend to them every day of the year. This has been our philosophy for several generations and is one of the pillars of our family-operated business. Our wines are produced in a preserved environment and the switch to organic farming was a choice guided by nature.

We use natural methods and apply our tried and tested vinification know-how to produce high-quality organic certified wines.

We are proud to provide moments of pure pleasure exploring the aromas of our Cote de Blaye and Cote de Bourg wines, produced and grown with passion.

A FAMILY BUSINESS STEEPED IN TRADITION

Château La Braulterie is above all the story of one family’s long-lasting passion for wine, terroir and tradition. Year after year, generations of winemakers have shaped the techniques used in our vineyards to take full advantage of the extraordinary properties of our land. We put the greatest care into our wine production and offer our customers high-quality wines that are rich and well-balanced, but also respectful of our environment.

Sharing our love of good wine is the cornerstone of our philosophy.

Indeed, Château La Braulterie was amongst the first wineries in the Blaye area to offer bottled wine. A real godsend to tourists travelling via Blaye on their way to the Pyrenees who would unfailingly buy a case of wine to bring home. To a certain extent this tradition lives on.

OUR RANGE OF WINES

Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

CHATEAU LA BRAULTERIE CUVEE DES DAVID
AOC Blaye côtes de Bordeaux  red

Description

The ripeness of the grapes gives this wine a round and fruity flavour, where the 95% Merlot provide a richness of flavours, and the subtle addition of 5% Cabernet Sauvignon a firm structure. This delicious young wine is only vatted for between 10 and 12 days, with moderate extraction, and aged for 12-18 months in tanks, where it is regularly racked until being bottled at the property.

While it is very affordable, this wine is also outstanding in quality. Its silky tannins will delight novice drinkers and give them the best introduction to Bordeaux wines.

CHATEAU LA BRAULTERIE DE PEYRAUD
AOC Blaye côtes de Bordeaux red

Description

This wine offers a good balance with subtle tannins brought along by Merlot grapes and the firm structure given by the Cabernet-Sauvignon.
You will appreciate the delicacy of its supple taste strengthened by velvety tannins and light oaky notes. Don’t miss out

CHATEAU LA BRAULTERIE DE PEYRAUD CUVEE PRESTIGE

Description

If you enjoy full-bodied wines, this vintage was made for you.

Produced in the purest tradition of the Grands Vins de Bordeaux, this blend of Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Malbec is a limited edition whose great aromatic complexity  comes from its ageing in oak barrels.

A great addition to your wine cellar, this wine will improve with time and will embellish your most memorable meals.

CHATEAU LA BRAULTERIE

Description

With its strawberry-pink colour, this rosé de saignée features fresh fruit notes and is best paired with summer barbecues, exotic dishes, savoury tarts or light salads.

Feels like summer.

CHATEAU LA BRAULTERIE
AOC Blaye côtes de Bordeaux white

Description

As your nose hovers over the glass, powerful aromas of Sauvignon intoxicate you.

Rich and round on the palate, this delicate blend of Sémillon will surprise you with its perfect balance.

This wine can be served alone or paired with seafood. Always keep a bottle of white Château La Braulterie in the fridge as it is best enjoyed chilled.

Côtes de Bourg

DOMAINE LES CAILLOUX DE BLAIS
AOC Côtes de Bourg red

Description

Thanks to its gravelly soil, sprinkled with pebbles, the LES CAILLOUX DES BLAIS estate is home to a deep and robust wine. It is dark ruby-red in colour and has an intense nose dominated by a bouquet of red berries and subtle wood undertones.
